Learning at RBCFT

From special guests to schools screenings and from film courses to festivals, there's a lot more going on at the RBC. Our programme aims to stimulate, entertain and inform.

Schools | The Monday Night Film Club | Wee Film Club

For this reason, the RBC is committed to offering a range of opportunities for all ages to learn about the moving image. We want to give as many people as possible the chance to engage with film in an inspiring way. Our diverse programme is complemented by activities which will appeal to a range of audiences and age groups. We collaborate with local and national bodies, community groups and individual practitioners to create special events tailored to specific audiences and age-groups.

School Screenings

We welcome school visits.

We can arrange schools screenings for most, appropriate films in our programme £3.00 per student when groups of ten or more students are booked in advance. Accompanying teachers free.

If you would like to book a school visit, please email with your request

The RBC Monday Night Film Club

It’s like a book group . . . but with films ...

There is a short introduction to each Monday night film, and afterwards you are warmly invited to stay on for a friendly, informal discussion over Fairtrade Coffee and biscuits.

With the current events the RBC the Monday Night Film Club is on a hiatus, we hope to bring it back in 2021

The Wee Film Club

The Wee Film Club runs throughout the year on the first Saturday of each month and shows the latest and greatest films from all over the world for children.

Either join the club or come along for one week only to enjoy a family film. Members will be able to request films for screenings.
