Dumfries and Galloway Short Film Competition 2010

Dumfries and Galloway Film Festival

We are on a hunt for the best short films to showcase for the 2010 Dumfries Film Festival.

The competition is open to all ages, amateurs and professionals, and we are looking for films that explore the theme ‘Living the Land - Life in the countryside of Dumfries and Galloway’.

  • It will be a chance to see your work on the big screen - at Machars Movies, Scotland’s most southerly cinema, during the Dumfries Film Festival which takes place this year between 30 April to 9 May.
  • The Scottish Countryside Alliance who recently awarded Machars Movies ‘Best UK Rural Enterprise 2009’, will also screen winning entries at the Royal Highland show in Edinburgh (24 – 27 June 2010).
  • Each entrant will receive a pair of cinema tickets at their favourite cinema in Dumfries and Galloway.
  • The winning entry will receive a year’s supply of cinema tickets!
  • The deadline for submission is Monday 19th April 2010.
